Our story
The story of Bmanuka began with our journey to a wild region rich in natural resources, which over hundreds of years met the needs of residents. Among the kōwhai forests in New Zealand, in a hilly, inaccessible region, we discovered a carefully guarded treasure: a wealth of rare plants and animals, and manuka honey, collected from local bees. As in the past, so today do residents collect rich and high-quality manuka honey while fully safeguarding the surrounding environment for future generations.
Many studies around the world have already proven the anti-inflammatory properties of manuka honey (4 times more intense than regular honey). Thousands have fallen in love with it due to its plethora of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. We were delighted to learn from locals that manuka honey is also highly effective in caring for and treating the facial skin, successfully treating acne, encouraging the production of collagen, and helping skin cells renew themselves.
Manuka honey is not the only secret known to local women to maintain a youthful appearance, it turns out. The use of bee venom is an ancient method to stimulate blood circulation in the skin and produce collagen and elastin, creating a strong pro-aging effect. Modern techniques make it possible to collect bee venom without harming the bees.
Bmanuka’s cosmetics were developed on the basis of the natural blessings of New Zealand – without causing harm. The products also contain additional components drawn from plants in New Zealand, such as the kiwi, harakeke (the local flax), the Kōwhai tree, the kūmarahou shrub, the New Zealand Christmas tree, and more. The remainder of the ingredients in our cosmetic formulas are all natural and not synthetic, free of parabens, SLS, pthalates, or animal products.
